I sincerely want to read assigned texts beforehand. It saves me from getting embarrassed, spares me the nerves of unpreparedness and makes me feel a tad bit smarter honestly.

Well, July 2, Professor David Wilson discussed American Foreign Policy. The week before, we were given this ridiculously long essay he wrote on the topic. I only read on the day itself, and I didn't finish. I got far enough to follow his discussion smoothly.
Then before I knew it, 1 hour was up. I can promise you this: I hate History class, and it hates me. Not for that discussion though. It was preparation, and also maybe how close I sat to David Wilson. If I fell asleep, it'd be obvious. Hahaha. No of course not. Believe me, I was willingly attentive.

This is David Wilson. Maybe I liked the discussion too 'cause he looks so warm. That's a part of ethos/speaker's credibility, your look. So, I might not be kidding on that note. :) Plus, he speaks with genuine enthusiasm too, like a big happy man. He shared 2 anecdotes like he was doing it for the first or second time. I felt like a kid in a storytelling session (sans the note-taking).
